When you're onto something great, it won't feel like revolution.
It'll feel like uncommon sense.

It is only when we silent the blaring sounds of our daily existence
that we can finally hear the whispers of truth that life reveals to us.

The only way to thrive in the future is to focus on what you love,
develop knowledge and skills in the service of your passion,
and be relentless in doing the work...
Working on your future is the best way of thinking about your future.
You learn only by doing.

Abundance is not about providing everyone on this planet with a life of luxury
 – rather it’s about providing all with a life of possibility.

Money is just a means to an end, not the final goal...
jump the means, and go straight to the final goal...
Go straight for what you actually need.

Beth's Ponderings

Garden Rule: When weeding, the best way to make sure you are removing a weed and not a valuable plant is to pull on it. If it comes out of the ground easily, it is a valuable plant. (author unknown)

As my health (strength and stamina) improves, I have been able to keep on top of the weeding a bit more easily this year (well, as far as realistically and humanly possible to keep ahead of weeds).  I decided, to help with the process of weed control, to be more proactive about eating the edible weeds (ie chickweed, purslane/portulaca, Johnny Jump-up flowers, etc.) in my salads because, in the past, I have found that once I start eating them, the numbers decrease dramatically. Well, so far this has backfired as it seems Mother Nature doesn’t want me to starve and has made sure there is an abundance of edible weeds for me to feast on.

In the end, only the traveler gets to tell the story...
You cannot talk about grit.  You have to embody it.
You cannot talk about faith.  You have to live it.
You cannot talk about the desert.  You have to cross it.

When your pockets are empty,
go where your heart is full because when you follow the love,
even if your mind sees obstacles in the future,
by the time you arrive there, the obstacles will have been removed for you.

Humans have made up stories since the beginning of time.
Some of the stories have helped us understand this wild ride through humanity...
We no longer must be bound by crappy stories.
Humans made them up.  You are human.
Make a better story.

Widen your relationship to time, slow it down.
Don’t see time as an enemy but an ally.
It provides you with perspective...
Time is your teacher.

Beth's Ponderings

In the past month, I’ve seen another dramatic improvement in my health.

Prior to a month ago, I was barely biking 1.5 kms, and then suddenly I was able to bike 3 kms every day.  I thought that was impressive, however, now I’m biking 4.5 kms!   WOW!
